Flooring Calculator Store
A flooring retailer needed a Shopify store that could handle over 3,000 product SKUs and a complex room area calculator to help customers estimate how much flooring they needed, including waste factor adjustments for different installation patterns.
We built a custom Shopify 2.0 theme with a metafield-driven calculator app. The room calculator uses Shopify metafields to pull coverage data per product variant and returns quantity recommendations based on room dimensions and waste percentage. The product catalogue was structured with collections, tags and filters supporting faceted navigation across all SKUs.
The calculator feature alone has transformed how customers shop with us. Returns have dropped significantly because people are now ordering exactly the right amount. Exceptional work.
