This Privacy Policy explains how Dynamic Online Technologies LTD, trading as The Dot Dev (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information when you visit thedotdev.com, contact us about a project or use a service that links to this policy, including Agentic Bridge.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide when you use our website, including through our contact and project brief forms. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, website URL, project requirements, budget range, timeline, and any other details you include in your message.
We also collect limited technical information when you browse our website, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, device type, and referral source. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve performance.
Analytics and similar technologies
Google Analytics is optional on this website. It remains off unless you choose to allow Analytics in Cookie settings. When enabled, it measures website traffic and page interactions using the Google tag and analytics cookies.
We may also use Google Search Console to monitor search performance and technical issues affecting the public website.
How Foyer uses information
Foyer is The Dot Dev's AI assistant. It helps visitors ask questions in natural language, understand approved information on our site, find relevant pages or services and prepare an enquiry for human review.
To respond, Foyer may use the question you enter, the page you are viewing, an identified section of that page and the options or actions you select. Do not enter passwords, payment details, health information or other sensitive information.
If you choose to send an enquiry, Foyer may help prepare a short summary. You can review the summary and decide whether to continue. Contact details and the reviewed summary are submitted only when you complete the final form, provide the required consent and select Send project enquiry.
Asking Foyer a question does not submit an enquiry, create a contract or confirm a quote, price, scope, availability or start date. These are reviewed and confirmed separately by our team.
Foyer can help prepare an enquiry, but you decide whether to send it. A member of our team reviews the request. Quotes, scope, timing, availability and contract terms require separate human confirmation.
We limit Foyer information to what is needed for the response, site security and any enquiry you choose to send. We do not place contact details, sensitive information or full conversation text in website analytics.
How Agentic Bridge uses information
Information we receive
Agentic Bridge is a WordPress plugin with optional hosted services. Depending on the features you choose, we may process:
- pairing fields needed to connect a site, including site URL, site name, WordPress version, plugin version, claim endpoint and connection status
- public page content and public URLs selected for a readiness check
- page titles, descriptions, headings and other public metadata
- status codes, canonical information, robots directives, structured data and similar technical signals
- snapshot categories needed for the requested check, including selected URL lists, exclusion states, scan timestamps and technical-readiness outputs
- readiness scores, findings, exclusions, reports and check history
- generated or proposed artifacts, including llms.txt and agent-map.json
- dashboard account details such as your name, email address, organisation and sites you connect
- service logs such as timestamps, plugin and WordPress versions, request outcomes, error details and feature activity
- security events such as failed sign-ins, invalid connection attempts, rate-limit events and suspicious activity
- support messages and information you choose to send us
Public content already published
Public website content is not always personal information, but it can include names, job titles, author details or contact information that a site owner has already published. We process that material only as needed to provide the check, history, report or artifact requested by the authorised user.
What Agentic Bridge is not intended to collect
Agentic Bridge is not designed to collect or sync:
- customer or subscriber records
- contact form submissions
- orders, payment details or shopping activity
- WordPress users, comments or credentials
- private, draft or password-protected content
- content marked noindex
- private plugin or theme settings that are not needed for the requested connection
Unintended private information
Do not send these types of information to Agentic Bridge. If we identify private information that was sent unintentionally, we may restrict processing and remove or quarantine it where reasonably possible.
Preview and consent before hosted sync
Local plugin checks can run without sending site content to the hosted dashboard where the selected feature supports local use.
The plugin will not intentionally begin hosted transfer merely because it was installed or activated. An authorised WordPress administrator must choose to connect the site.
Before pairing, snapshot sync or other outbound hosted transfer begins, the plugin should provide an outbound preview or clear description of the in-scope information and require explicit confirmation.
Later checks may run under that saved connection choice until an authorised user pauses, disconnects or changes it. Materially broader data use should require a new notice or choice.
How we use Agentic Bridge information
We use Agentic Bridge information to:
- create and secure your dashboard account
- verify and maintain an authorised site connection
- run requested public content and technical readiness checks
- show findings, reports and history, including report refreshes when requested by an authorised user
- publish or sync an approved artifact when you choose that action
- diagnose errors and provide support
- maintain reliability, prevent abuse and investigate security incidents
- improve the service using aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably possible
- meet legal obligations and protect our rights
Sale, training and automated decisions
We do not sell Agentic Bridge account data or connected-site content. We do not use private customer records, form submissions, orders or WordPress users to train an AI model. Those categories are outside the intended collection scope.
Agentic Bridge does not make a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about a person. Readiness scores describe website and technical signals. They are not scores about an individual.
WordPress remains the publishing authority
Your WordPress site remains the authority for content status, visibility and publishing. The hosted dashboard is not intended to turn private WordPress material into public content.
Where Agentic Bridge prepares a file or site change, an authorised user should be able to review it before sync or publication. We process the approved action to provide the service. You are responsible for deciding whether the underlying content is accurate, lawful and suitable for publication.
Our role and the site owner's role
We are responsible for personal information used to create accounts, secure the service, provide support, manage our customer relationship and meet our own legal obligations.
For connected-site content that a customer controls and asks us to process on its behalf, the customer remains responsible for the website and its privacy obligations. We process that content only as needed to provide the requested Agentic Bridge service.
This allocation depends on the real use and contract, not only on the labels used in this policy.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide the website, Foyer and Agentic Bridge features you request
- respond to enquiries, support requests and project brief submissions
- create accounts and manage our customer relationship
- prepare proposals, quotes and follow-up communication
- run authorised readiness checks and show results
- maintain website and service security and prevent misuse
- diagnose problems and improve performance and user experience
- comply with legal or regulatory obligations where applicable
Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on the need to perform a contract or take requested steps before a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our services, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where consent is required. Optional analytics remains consent-based. We assess the appropriate basis for each use and do not use consent where you have no genuine choice.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy, including service delivery, security, dispute handling and legal obligations.
Foyer's question and conversation state are held in the current page session and end when the page is closed or reloaded. If a contact submission needs temporary browser-side recovery, the submitted form payload is held in first-party local storage for no more than seven days and is removed sooner after successful delivery where possible.
The privacy-choice cookie is kept for 180 days unless you delete it or change your settings sooner. Google Analytics storage is created only after you allow Analytics and can be withdrawn through Cookie settings.
For Agentic Bridge:
- connected site credentials used for pairing are stored locally in WordPress and are cleared when you disconnect that site
- hosted maintenance tombstones raw hosted snapshots after 30 days and deletes hosted reports after 12 calendar months
- those deadlines are policy targets, but the automated scheduler is not currently configured, so deadlines do not run automatically
- disconnecting a site retains hosted site identity records even after local credentials are cleared
- hard account deletion or hard hosted-site deletion is not currently offered in-product
- security and legal records may be retained where reasonably needed for abuse prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, or legal claims
Backups and local copies
If you request updated reporting or evidence, refreshed outputs reflect the latest approved check at the time you run that refresh.
Closing or disconnecting hosted use does not uninstall the WordPress plugin or remove local settings and files already published on the connected site. The WordPress administrator controls those copies.
Third-party services
We use service providers to operate our website, Agentic Bridge and business systems. They process limited information for us under their own terms and, where applicable, data protection commitments.
Provider categories may include:
- website and application hosting
- databases, object storage and protected backups
- content delivery, network security, anti-abuse and bot protection
- authentication and transactional email
- error monitoring, logging and service-status tools
- customer support and business communication
- optional website analytics where you have allowed it
- WordPress CMS at admin.thedotdev.com for The Dot Dev's public content and website API
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement
- Google Search Console — search visibility and technical monitoring
- GitHub Actions and related deployment tooling — used to build and publish the public website; not used to collect visitor form submissions
- Fiverr — an external platform where some clients choose to work with us; Fiverr has its own privacy terms when you use their services
- Hosting, CDN, and security providers — help deliver and protect the website
Sharing and international transfers
We share only what the provider needs for the relevant function. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where data protection law requires it, we use an applicable adequacy regulation, contractual safeguard or other lawful transfer mechanism.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to certain uses. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it for future use.
To make a request, email hello@thedotdev.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the relevant account or connected site.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
