What is included in a PHP security update service?+
We check the PHP runtime serving your website, confirm the host’s patch options, prepare a file and database backup, test compatibility, apply the agreed update and check the key website journeys. You receive a written record of the change and any remaining issues.
How much does a PHP update cost?+
A one-time update starts at $195 USD for one standard WordPress website on supported hosting, including compatibility checks and post-update testing. Legacy code repairs, major PHP version migrations, malware cleanup and hosting moves require a separate quote after review.
Does the price depend on my website platform and complexity?+
Yes. The displayed prices are starting points: $195 for a one-time standard WordPress PHP update, and $95, $195 or $395 per month for WordPress or WooCommerce care. Your platform, website size, plugins or custom code, integrations, hosting and testing needs determine the final quote. Custom PHP and Laravel applications are priced individually after a code and hosting review. We agree the final price and scope before work or payment.
Can you update PHP without breaking my WordPress website?+
We reduce that risk with backups, compatibility checks, staging where available and a rollback plan. No update is risk-free. If an old plugin, theme or custom feature is incompatible, we explain the repair and cost before proceeding.
Does updating WordPress also update PHP?+
No. WordPress and PHP are separate software layers. PHP is managed through your hosting environment. We check both the application updates and the host’s PHP runtime so an updated WordPress dashboard is not mistaken for proof of a patched server.
What if my host says PHP is already patched?+
Some hosting providers use vendor packages with backported security fixes. We ask for package or advisory evidence and check the runtime serving web requests. A version label alone may not establish whether a vendor package contains the relevant fix.
Do the monthly packages include urgent security updates?+
Relevant critical advisories are triaged when identified during our business hours, rather than waiting for the next routine maintenance window. Application depends on a verified patch, host access and compatibility. We confirm the action and timing; these plans do not include 24/7 incident response or a guaranteed resolution time.
Is the initial PHP upgrade included in monthly security care?+
An onboarding review is included. Any existing infection, overdue major upgrade or compatibility repair is quoted before monthly care begins. Routine compatible security patches are covered once the website has been accepted into the plan.
Do you support Laravel and custom PHP applications?+
Yes. We quote one-time security work and ongoing monthly maintenance after reviewing the application code, framework, dependencies, integrations and hosting. The WordPress package starting prices do not apply automatically. Custom PHP, Laravel, multisite and dedicated server administration receive a tailored scope, maintenance schedule and price.
Does a security package make my website hack-proof?+
No. Updates, backups, monitoring and access controls reduce risk and improve recovery readiness. They cannot prevent every attack. Incident forensics, malware removal and major recovery work are separately scoped.
How does monthly billing work?+
The displayed USD amounts are starting prices per website. We confirm the final monthly price after reviewing your platform and scope, then bill monthly in advance after acceptance. There is no long-term contract; give 30 days’ notice before renewal to cancel. Hosting, paid plugin licences, third-party tools and applicable taxes are additional. Included support hours do not roll over.
